NWPCA Member Hosts Congressional Tour
P
hoenix Wood Products hosted Representative Kat Cammack (FL-3) to visit their
Ocala, Florida location. The Phoenix Wood Products leadership team enjoys a strong
relationship with the Congresswoman and her senior staff. It took this opportunity to show
her firsthand what the wooden pallet and container industry is all about. In particular, they
highlighted our industry's labor needs and how this issue preexisted well before COVID.
Our industry needs a multi-pronged approach to solving this problem, and we are happy to
count the Congresswoman as a supporter and champion for us in Washington.
"It was great meeting with Phoenix Wood Products in Ocala, learning more about their work
to keep Florida's economy running as a top supplier of wood pallets and other products for
industries across the state," said Cammack. "As we continue to see labor shortages affecting
all aspects of our economy, our manufacturers' acute issues on this front must remain top-
of-mind as we continue to support this key industry. Thanks to the Phoenix Wood Products
team and staff for the fantastic visit."

egistration for our Fall Plant Tours, October 25 & 26, 2021 in Alabama, is over 50%
sold. There are only 300 seats available for these tours; therefore, early registration is

Attendees will see the state-of-the-art equipment, scragg mills, high-volume production
