Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
at Pallet Alliance
Friendly competition at Pallet Alliance and a
general culture that promotes collaboration and
enthusiasm led to the whopping 22-member team
for the 2022 virtual race. "e different departments
within the company look forward to having fun
together," said Erin Clarke, marketing manager.
"With Pallet Alliance covering the registration fee
for employees and their families, this also became
a family affair."
e company holds events frequently, and
the employees get excited to try and stay on the
leaderboards. "e race is held during a time of
year, so there are many creative ways to complete
miles, such as walking around the state fair, trick-
or-treating, or going to the pumpkin patch," added
Clarke. One of their participants, Mike Levey, won
the race's walking portion with 102 miles.
e Pallet Alliance team had exceeded their goal
by 270 miles and matched their 2,340 race miles
in dollars to the Pallet Foundation. e company's
support of the race meant a good time for the
entire family, and next year they expect to have a
50-member team!
Overall, the virtual race around the world moved
70 people, racing 5154 miles, raising $8,440 for the
Pallet Foundation's research and development, along
with thousands of hours of mental toughness and
motivation.
