the WPA annual conference. We are so grateful to Kathleen Dietrich, Commercial Lumber

Carolyn Beach, Westside Pallet, for guiding staff around their facilities. Whenever staff can

WPA Auction for the Pallet
Foundation Sets Record
T
he Western Pallet Association
(WPA) held an auction to benefit
the Pallet Foundation during its 2023
Annual Conference in January. e
auction raised $138,500, an increase
from $110,000 in 2022. All proceeds
benefit the Pallet Foundation. Special
thanks to NWPCA Member Bill
MacCauley, John Rock Inc., for lending
his auctioneer skills at the event, and to
all those winning bidders and donors,
we thank you.

U.S. Wood Pallet Industry
Survey is Here!
F
ive years came fast! at's the time
since we conducted the last Wood
Pallet Industry Survey, a project funded by
the Pallet Foundation. e pallet industry
is growing, and we need your help to gather
more accurate data to support our industry.
e results of the previous study served
as a basis for the Environmental Product
Declaration and supported numerous
advocacy efforts.
e Pallet Foundation selected Virginia
Tech again this year for the project. ey
are collecting and analyzing the data and
are responsible for providing U.S.-based
companies with a unique code needed to
complete the survey. If you need any help
attaining your company code, contact
