MEXICAN WOODEN PACKAGING CONFERENCE GUADALAJARA, JALISCO, MEXICO The Mexican Wood Packaging Industry Conference (CIMEMA) will be held on September 5 and 6 in Guadalajara, Jaslico, Mexico at the JW Marriott Guadalajara and adjoining event space, Expacio Mil500. The Mexican Chapter of the NWPCA is excited to host its second annual two-day conference and this edition of CIMEMA will feature tabletop vendors! It is an exciting time for the Mexican wooden packaging industry, as it continues to grow as more and more global manufacturing operations look to nearshore in Mexico to secure their supply chains. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring together international stakeholders – manufacturers, end users, and suppliers – to provide educational sessions and create networking opportunities in the beautiful city of Guadalajara. The state of Jalisco is home to world class beach resorts (Puerta Vallarta and Punta Mita are 50-minute flights from Guadalajara) and is the birthplace of tequila. The mesmerizing blue agave fields in Tequila are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and form an integral part of Mexico's cultural and culinary traditions. Private tasting tours can easily be arranged from Guadalajara. Last year more than 130 people from 16 states of the Mexican Republican and five countries (Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, and USA) attended our event in Monterrey.
