In fact, it is when congressional action is most difficult that an aggressive and effective advocacy engagement can pay off and is all the more critical. Effective advocacy—centered around compelling constituent stories—can cut through the noise, clearly communicate priorities, and ultimately reap results. In addition to direct engagement on the official side, organizations like NWPCA can also utilize off-the-Hill engagements via political contributions. When time is limited and the competition for attention is high, leveraging the capabilities of the PalletPAC can further support our legislative agenda. Finally, as stated time and time again, the annual fly-in is one of—if not the most vital—elements of our advocacy toolbox, especially this year when the challenge of getting members' attention is steep. Members and their offices appreciate hearing directly from constituents on the successes happening in their districts and states as well as the challenges being faced. Fly-ins also serve as an opportunity to pitch plant tours as we did last year, resulting in facility tours with not only one but two members of the powerful House Ways & Means Committee. Similar to the fly-ins, congressional plant tours offer a chance to share both the wins and challenges being experienced on the ground. While these tours require a great deal of time, commitment, and coordination on the part of our members, the direct engagement offered by these tours is unparalleled. And with that comes the ability to more easily convert members into industry champions. We can explain the ins and outs of a facility to a T while we're advocating in D.C., but nothing compares to getting allies out into the field to see firsthand what makes our industry worth fighting for. So yes, the path forward with advocacy this year is not one without its challenges. But as an organization, we're well equipped to respond and adapt to the challenges that may come our way and work with you all to tell your stories and promote the industry's priorities.
