10 Pallet C e nt ral May -Ju ne 2 0 24 INSIDENWPCA NWPCA ANNOUNCEMENTS & UPCOMING EVENTS Recap: NWPCA Annual Leadership Conference 2024 T he NWPCA 2024 Annual Leadership Conference & Expo (ALC)—set against the picturesque backdrop of Sawgrass Marriott in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida—achieved remarkable success with a record-breaking attendance of nearly 800 participants from 17 countries. emed as "Elevate. Empower. Engage.," the event delivered on its promises, offering industry leaders three days filled with strategic insights from expert speakers, packed with social and business networking opportunities and product innovations from the exhibit hall. e conference kicked off with the highly anticipated Pallet Foundation Golf Tournament at TPC Sawgrass, attracting a sold-out crowd of 144 players eager to test their skills on the renowned 17th hole of the Stadium Course, just days following e Players Championship. Key presentations and speakers included: • "Rising Above Challenges: Unlocking the Power of Perspective Leadership," by Dan Clark • "Future Economy: Growth Opportunities," presented by Andrew Busch, economist and futurist • "e Pallet Foundation: e What, e Why, and e Now," featuring insights from Steve Yelland of JFR Holdings; Bill MacCauley from "e Rock" - a Kamps Company; and Brent McClendon, NWPCA President and CEO, highlighting the Foundation's projects and its significance for wood packaging businesses • "Boost Your Pallet Business: Master the Art of Significant Selling," with Dan Clark • Insights into the China Pallet Market, shared by Xijun Sun, Secretary-General of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing • "Timber Talks: e 2024 Elections, Forestry and Manufacturing," presented by Leslie Sanchez Additionally, a panel session delved into critical topics—including cybersecurity by Carrie Kerskie, fire code compliance by Bill Koffel, and OSHA regulations by Adele L. Abrams—in an engaging, facilitated discussion led by LeRoi Cochran of Relogistics. e sold-out exhibit hall showcased innovative solutions and products, as well as stimulating discussions on cutting- edge technologies and best practices. Networking opportunities, committee meetings, and collaborative sessions further enriched the conference experience, fostering meaningful connections and partnerships among attendees. With record-breaking attendance and participation, this year's ALC left attendees ready to implement actionable strategies and drive positive change in their businesses. Next year's ALC occurs March 26–28, 2025, at e Meritage Resort & Spa in Napa, California.
