Senatorial Plant Tour

n July 18, the NWPCA public affairs
team, Jason Ortega and Gabriella
Ybarra, traveled to Beaver Springs,
Pennsylvania, to support Remmey -
e Pallet Company as they hosted
Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey on
his first visit to a pallet manufacturing
facility. Senator Casey saw firsthand the
critical role that the industry plays in
the supply chain. He also saw Remmey's
1.5-megawatt solar system, partially
funded by a USDA Rural Energy Access
Program grant. e system will power their
facility and send excess power to the grid.

xcitement is building for the NWPCA Fall Plant Tours taking place October 9–10 in Detroit,
Michigan. We were approaching a sell-out at press time, and the exhibitor spaces are all sold.
ank you to our hosts Justin and Mitchell Kamps at Kamps Pallets,
Paul Kamps, and Jordan and Ken Engelsma at Michigan Pallet for
generously opening their facilities to our members. We appreciate
their support and dedication to the Association and especially
for taking the time to host these events for other members.
