In June, NWPCA members from around the world convened in Washington, DC, with a record number of attendees representing over 17 states and 4 countries. is two-day event raised awareness of the wooden pallet industry and its global impact. e Fly-In featured meetings on Capitol Hill with members of Congress and their staff, and two evening receptions sponsored by the PalletPAC that featured ten members of Congress. ese meetings and receptions offered NWPCA members a platform to discuss issues affecting the industry and how we can partner to ensure that the wooden pallet and container industry is always top of mind. Engaging Congressional Staff: The Heart Of Advocacy Meeting members of Congress and their staff where they are is important for raising awareness about our industry and garnering their support. By showing up in person, we demonstrate the wooden pallet and container industry's commitment to the Association's work in Washington.
