SAFETY
A
skilled and seasoned workforce is vital for
maintaining top-notch quality and safety
standards within the pallet and low-grade
lumber industries, which are expected to hit over
$110 billion in revenue by 2027. Yet cultivating
institutional knowledge and operational
proficiency requires considerable time and effort for an industry
that is growing in demand thanks to a rise in e-commerce.
Every year, the US produces approximately 400 million new
wooden pallets, contributing to the two billion pallets in
circulation at any given time. ese pallets have become a
staple in warehouses and other facilities, highlighting their
essential role in the logistics and supply chain industry.
Unfortunately, many in this industry rely solely on experience
when it comes to safety, leading to complacency and
overconfidence which can create hazardous work environments.
