We are thrilled that in 2024, we had an opportunity to visit with members from Alabama to Rhode Island, Ohio to Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania to Arizona. By visiting and hearing out our members across diverse regions, we can build a more effective advocacy strategy that genuinely reflects the perspectives of those on the ground, ultimately allowing us to do our job better and make a more significant impact on the policies that shape the future of the pallet and container industry. Additionally, we continued our European Union (EU) advocacy regarding the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, ultimately securing an exemption from the regulation's packaging reuse requirements for wooden pallets entering the EU from any where in the world, including the US: a big win for the sector. As part of our growing global strategy, we also met with multiple EU Commission heads of offices to discuss the role pallets play in the worldwide supply chain. On those trips, we also engaged with NWPCA members at the FEFPEB Annual Meeting in Bruges, Belgium, and visited member facilities in Belgium, Ireland, and Scotland. NWPCA Vice President of Public Affairs Jason Ortega was also invited to speak to its Executive Committee at the TIMCON Annual General Meeting and present to the broader membership during the Meeting. As the industry grows and our supply chains become more global, so must our defense of the industry occur in additional legislative centers worldwide. With An Eye Towards 2025 While 2024 proved to be an incredibly productive and impactful year for our team and we're proud of our work, we look forward to continuing our advocacy efforts in the new year. Looking towards 2025, we remain clear-eyed regarding the challenges but are excited about engaging and exploring new opportunities with the incoming 119th Congress and the Trump Administration. Stay tuned for more on how our 2025 advocacy strategy is taking shape!
