On Swearing-In Day, Jason Ortega attended congressional open houses, connecting with newly elected and returning members of Congress. is was a key opportunity for our industry to establish relationships with influential lawmakers in the 119th Congress. Jason visited several offices, including those of Representatives Angie Craig (D-MN), Shomari Figures (D-AL), Rudy Yakym (R-IN), Beth Van Duyne (R-TX), Nikki Budzinski (D-IL), George Whitesides (D-CA), and the Pennsylvania GOP Delegation. ese meetings provided a valuable platform to engage with policymakers who support the wood products industry, setting the stage for a productive legislative session ahead.
