NWPCA Advocacy Celebrates An Impac ul 2025 I n 2025, our Government Affairs program delivered real wins that protect the industry and your bottom line. Kicking off the year, we took swift action on the Section 232 lumber tariff investigation after hearing significant concerns from NWPCA members as we filed a formal comment letter and met face-to-face with key decision-makers in Congress, the White House, and the Department of Commerce. e payoff ? One of the lowest Section 232 tariff rates, one that helps members stay competitive and keeps industry costs in check. We also achieved significant tax-policy success with the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill, the culmination of multiple years of sustained work by the association. In 2025, we intensified that push through targeted advocacy, including with staff participation in a tax- focused fly-in and high-level meetings with the White House, the House Majority Leader, and the Senate Finance Committee. ese outcomes underscore the importance and the return on investment of a strong, proactive Government Affairs program, and they were only possible because members supported this work with their time, expertise, and resources.
