After careful consideration and leadership from both members and the Board of Directors, the National Wooden Pallet & Container Association is becoming Woodpack Global, a name that reflects who we are today and how the industry is growing and evolving. is change comes at a time of momentum. Over the past year, the association has restructured internally, expanded its capabilities, and invested in growth to better serve members. With the addition of six new staff members, the organization is better positioned than ever to advocate, innovate, and lead the wood transport packaging industry. Why The New Name, And Why Now e decision follows significant input from our members: 62% supported a name change, while another 31% had no strong preference. Feedback ranged from "What does the word 'container' mean?" to "It's a long name that's hard for me to explain." Members of Congress shared similar struggles: "I can never get your name right." And when representing US interests overseas, the association often heard, "You are a US association. Why are you here?" ese insights highlighted the need for a shorter, more inclusive name that encompasses all wood transport packaging and resonates globally. At its core, this evolution is about building a stronger organization that delivers greater value to members in the US and around the world, while remaining grounded in the heritage that has shaped us for decades.
