After spending time lobbying on behalf of the industry in Sacramento, California, Jason Ortega, Sr. Vice President, and Kate Doherty, Director of Government Affairs, traveled to visit with Lindsey Shean-Snowden of Pallet Logistics of America and Callen Cochran of United Pallet Service. e visits provided valuable insight into day-to-day operations, current business conditions, and the opportunities and challenges facing pallet manufacturers and recyclers. From time on the production floor to conversations about policy and advocacy priorities, NWPCA staff reinforced the importance of staying closely connected to members' needs. NWPCA President and CEO Brent McClendon is back from a trip to the Czech Republic, Austria, and Germany, where he and several NWPCA board members, including Board Chair Hinton Howell and international directors Fernando López Bello and Alex Battistela, visited several NWPCA members and non-member manufacturing facilities. e trip was organized by NWPCA member Euroblock as part of a Euroblock conference, where McClendon presented on the US pallet market, the Pallet Foundation's work, and the association's advocacy efforts in Brussels, Mexico, and Washington, DC. ank you to all who welcomed us and shared their perspectives. ese on-site visits help ensure NWPCA's programs and advocacy efforts remain grounded in the real-world experiences of our membership.
