If you've been following our journey, we hope you share our enthusiasm for this evolution. It is a true honor to step into the role of Board Chair at Woodpack Global. Having spent the past 20 years in the industry, I feel both humbled and ready for this responsibility. With the support of our Board and the talented Association Staff, my commitment is simple: to listen, to represent this industry faithfully, and to move us forward—together. "This is more than an industry. It's a community." What We're Really Here For A thinker I admire, Seth Godin, puts it simply: once our basic needs are met, people want three things—affiliation, status, and freedom from fear. Affiliation is who we're connected to. Status is the credibility we've built. And fear sits right in the middle— whether our decisions will hold up, whether we're doing enough to reduce risk. When I look at this Association, I see all three at work: relationships built over careers, credibility earned through integrity and hard work, and people genuinely helping each other make strong decisions to preserve and grow their businesses. When those forces come together—done right—you get community and trust. And those are the things that persist. On Brand And What's At Stake ere has been real conversation about our brand, and I'll be plain: when you change a brand—even for the right reasons—you give up a little trust in the short term. People have to reconnect. Find new stories to tell. at's real. But standing still doesn't protect trust— it erodes it. Regulations, automation, and global standards are reshaping our industry whether we engage or not. If we're absent from those conversations, we risk the development of systems and decisions that don't work for us. at's not a small problem—it's an expensive one. It's a problem you don't recognize until it's already here. A brand change isn't about changing who we are. It's about making sure the trust we've built continues working for us. It's about expanding relationships, elevating our standing, and positioning this industry to face the risks ahead. e strength of this Association isn't a logo. It's the people in it. Make a point to connect to others in the industry. Listen to their stories. Share yours. at's where the real value lives—and I'm honored to be part of it, with all of you. With gratitude, LeRoi Cochran Relogistics Board Chair, Woodpack Global More Than An Industry—A Community Built On Trust A MESSAGE FROM OUR BOARD CHAIR
