Pallet Foundation ompelling: It's an interesting play on words when you think of it, "The Pallet Foundation." It is the foundation on which pallets are built and supports the research of the NWPCA. We celebrated last year over 30 years of the Pallet Design System™ (PDS) where the Pallet Foundation supported hundreds of thousands of dollars in research over the years. PDS continues to be the cutting edge of technology for designing pallets and is conducting ground-breaking research in the technical science of Unit Load. NWPCA is accomplishing this through the purchase of pressure testing mats and top notch engineers, the best in the industry. The Foundation also supports the branding and marketing of Nature's Packaging, promoting wood products at home and abroad. The Pallet Foundation exists so you can be successful in your business. Energy: Record numbers mean record energy, record fundraising, and we hit it all at Thursday night's auction with $125,000 raised during the event. NWPCA's own Bill MacCauley's fast hammer pounding out "sold" would have given a pneumatic nailer a run for its money. The fast and furious auction produced the outstanding result of the highest amount ever raised at an NWPCA auction for the Pallet Foundation! Enthusiasm: Of sun, saguaro cactus and sand traps, our snow bound members from the East Coast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest, were more than enthusiastic to head to sunny Tucson. There were a hundred people registered for golf. After a pretty harsh winter, everyone was in a great mood that played in this networking event. Obviously, the phenomenal attendance helped raise the profile of The Pallet Foundation.
