Printers are battery powered, wireless and programmed on a desktop or laptop computer. Once programmed, they can be used up to 100 yards away. Customers comment that the printers provide a clearer, more consistent marking. The technology can be programmed with company logos, safety symbols, dates, counters, and various other marks and messages. As with most new processes and technology, there is a learning curve. The tooling solution can generally be designed as a profile ground brazed carbide corner rounded head or as a profile ground carbide insert tool. The tool can be built to cut one corner at a time, two corners at a time or all four corners all at once. The biggest cost factor is the production decision related to how many corners are needed to be cut at once. This decision will affect the cost of the corner rounder machine and the number of heads required to do the machining.
