The video will be available for download and distribution this March. nwPCA Partners with CwCPA & FeFBeB to Host interpal 2018 NWPCA announces the 2018 Interpal conference will be held in conjunction with NWPCA's Fall Plant Tour, scheduled for September 18-20, 2018 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Interpal is a global meeting for the wood packaging industry held every four years. The Canadian Wood Pallet and Container Association (CWPCA) will co-host the event with NWPCA, and the European Federation of Pallet and Packaging Manufacturers (FEFPEB) will forgo hosting their respective annual meetings, and instead, encourage their members to attend Interpal. With the coordinated support for the conference, it will truly be a global event. Look for registration information at PalletCentral.com/Interpal later this Spring. ALC update: new Member networking opportunities NWPCA has added several dynamic mini sessions, "Member Mingles," to the ALC program on Thursday afternoon, March 8th. These gatherings were created to build relationships, extend your business network, and discuss issues with those who share your common interests or similar demographics. NWPCA has allotted time for the following interest groups: Next Generation Leaders (Millennials), Women in Business, New Pallets & Containers, Recycled Pallets, Hispanic owners/leaders. Dr. Brad Gething, Director, Science & Technology Integration, presented and updated on fire code compliance to attendees of the Western Pallet Association Annual Meeting in Rancho Mirage, California, January 12-16, 2018. Patrick Atagi attended the United Fresh Start Foundation Annual Conference in San Diego, California, January 16-18, 2018. Atagi represents NWPCA on the United Fresh Supply Chain Logistics Committee. United Fresh members represent the full breadth of the produce supply chain from small family businesses to large international corporations. Brent McClendon and Patrick Atagi met with representatives from USDA APHIS Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) program on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. The commodity sector meeting provides the opportunity to share industry priorities, challenges and the ways APHIS can help your industry protect and promote U.S. agricultural health. PC
