The educational program was also top-notch. As one attendee commented, "This is
the best conference I've attended. The sessions discuss the exact topics and issues that
face us." Keynote speaker, Michael Abrashoff, spoke about organizational
transformation (see story page 30). Presentations on automation, labor and the
workforce, succession planning, political activities, lumber markets, and new
technologies, such as Blockchain, were all well attended. The newly created "Member
Mingles" were a big hit, with attendees asking for longer sessions at future conferences.
Exhibitors showcased their products and services that began with a red ribbon-
cutting ceremony. Later, the exhibit hall was filled with activity around the annual
Pallet Foundation Auction. Another roaring success, the event raised nearly $140,000
to benefit The Pallet Foundation. Special thanks to all donors, contributors, and a big
thanks to our auctioneer, Bill MacCauley, John Rock, Inc., for keeping the crowd
