John McLeod, Director of PDS, led the course. Attendees learned how to most effectively use all the features of PDS v5.6, specifying all types and styles of wood pallets in PDS, fastener specifications, specification of general and custom load types PDS, and how design affects the strength, stiffness, and damage resistance of wood pallets. Some attendees had previously attended a PDS in-person course, and some were brand new to the industry. The diversity in experience allowed for a lot of peer exchanges, which highlights the added benefit of in-person training. 2019 Board Elections As you read this, voting will be open for the 2019 NWPCA Board of Directors. All Industry and Associate members of the Association have the privilege of electing individuals to serve on the NWPCA Board. Only one vote per company is allowed, and every vote counts. It is the NWPCA Board who sets the course for your association through the identification and approval of policies, programs and budgets. Our board members set aside the priorities of their personal operations and work for the benefit of all association members. Please make sure that your company has voted by January 17, 2019. Registration Open for 2019 Annual Leadership Conference The 2019 Annual Leadership Conference will be held March 13- 15, 2019 in San Diego, California.
