NWPCA established a Political Action Committee, PalletPAC, in 2018, and quickly built it into an impactful organization that further helps us represent the industry on Capitol Hill. NWPCA now receives more calls from legislators who seek our expertise and input on the potential impacts and opportunities of different policies. NWPCA's influence also extends beyond the halls of Congress. The relationships established in the last couple years include those with environmental groups, forestry organizations, government agencies, code bodies, universities, and industry-related associations, such as trucking, safety, and pallet-using industries. This strong network better positions NWPCA to be an impactful voice on regarding our top priorities: jobs, immigration, regulatory issues, ISPM 15, sustainability of our products, food sanitation, among others. Moving Our Story Beyond the Rhetoric The research findings on the industry's position as the most recycled packaging product made headlines across the country and around the globe. The landfill avoidance story is a remarkable accomplishment.
