We want our board to continue to be representative of the finest leaders in the profession, and we need your input to make that happen. This year, we have five industry director positions available to serve on the board. Please consider who would best serve our association and industry in this important role. If you are willing to serve, please consider nominating yourself. It is the NWPCA Board who sets the course for your association through the identification and approval of policies, programs and budgets. Our board members set aside the priorities of their personal operations and work for the benefit of all association members. Our bylaws state that every qualified candidate will have his or her name included on the ballot. Qualifications include a candi- date whose company is current in their dues; has participated in association governance and activities, such as service on a committee, council or task force; or attendance at the Annual Leadership Conference or other association meetings. Send in your nomination by 5:00 pm EST, Tuesday, October 8, 2019. The nomination form is at PalletCentral.com. 2019 Fall Plant Tours in Toronto At press-time, we are on our way to another sold out conference, with 300 plus attendees registered for the 2019 Fall Plant Tours, October 1-2 in Toronto, Ontario, co-sponsored by NWPCA and CWPCA. NWPCA also hosted a reception with U.S. Representatives Steube (FL), Long (MO), "GT" Thompson (PA), Walden (OR) and Griffith (VA) at the Capitol Hill Club. Time spent with members was impressive.
