PalletCentral • November-December 2021 11 N WPCA's PalletPAC promotes NWPCA member company involvement in the political process and serves as a forum to engage candidates for U.S. Congress who are supportive of the wood packaging industry's issues. Why We Need Your Involvement e PalletPAC is an extremely important tool for our government relations and advocacy efforts in Washington and gives our industry a voice to advance the wooden pallet and container's interests. PalletPAC funds are used solely for the purpose of supporting and contributing directly to federal candidates on both sides of the aisle whose decisions directly impact our industry. How To Get Involved e Federal Election Commission requires PalletPAC to request the written prior approval of NWPCA members before soliciting contributions. PalletPAC asks that you please take a moment to fill out a Prior Authorization Form by visiting www.palletcentral.com/ PalletPAC or contacting Jason Ortega at jortega@palletcentral. com or (703) 519-6104. You may visit our PalletPAC site to submit a form to grant prior approval, learn more about our PAC and political donations, see who we supported last election cycle, and find other helpful resources at www.palletcentral.com/PalletPAC. Why Our Members Support PalletPAC "I donate to the PAC every year because I think it is important to get the NWPCA and the whole wooden pallet industry's name out there on a political level. It allows our industry to be proactive instead of reactive when industry issues come up and we can call on our friends that have or will benefit from the donations we give from the PAC." —Carolyn Beach-Skinner, Vice President of Westside Pallet "Business owners like issues that are predictable and controllable. Politics is neither. My annual Pallet PAC contribution gives me peace of mind knowing that we are doing everything we can to promote our industry and protect our businesses from unpredictable government actions." —Mike Hachtman, CEO of 48forty Solutions PALLETPAC
