18 Pallet C e nt ral • Janu a r y - Fe b r u a r y 2 0 26 A Name That Reflects The Whole Industry Each part of "Woodpack Global" tells a story: • Wood represents renewable materials, proven performance, and the foundation of wooden pallets and crates worldwide. • Pack unifies pallets and crates under one banner while symbolizing a team that supports one another and moves forward together. • Global reflects the reality of our industry and membership: one connected supply chain, one unified voice, and one mission to move the world. Together, the name is shorter, more memorable, and better represents the full scope of the wood packaging industry. What This Change Makes Possible e rebrand is not a standalone decision; it complements recent organizational restructuring designed to support long- term growth. By expanding staff capacity and aligning teams around advocacy, technical programs, communications, and member services, Woodpack Global is better equipped to respond to increasingly complex issues. As Woodpack Global, the association gains flexibility and effectiveness in representing members on critical issues, including trade, tariffs, phytosanitary standards, sustainability, and policy alignment. A clearer global identity strengthens advocacy and enables the association to support expanded programs, such as the Pallet Design System™ (PDS) and the upcoming Crate Design System™ (CDS). Continuing To Deliver For Our US Members e name change does not signal a shift away from US priorities. In fact, the association has more resources dedicated to domestic issues than ever before, supported by recent staff growth and internal realignment. Even when we work overseas—like our advocacy in Brussels— the majority of the benefit accrued to our members in the US, the EU's largest trade partner. Membership benefits and dues remain unchanged, while members gain stronger connections, broader influence, and a more effective organization working on their behalf. Honoring Heritage While Looking Ahead Founded in 1946 as the National Wooden Pallet Manufacturers Association with 17 member companies, the association evolved through mergers in 1967 and 1994 to become the organization it is today, representing over 820 companies across 43 countries. is next step, becoming Woodpack Global, builds on that legacy and helps the association catch up to where our membership already is. As Board Chair Hinton H. Howell explains: e name Woodpack Global speaks to the evolution of our industry from local operations to a worldwide network, while honoring the legacy that began at home. We are wood. We are wood packaging. We are a pack that supports one another and fights for the industry. And we do so globally. While our name is changing, our message remains the same: Pallets Move the World®. at spirit continues to guide everything we do. One Unified Voice Woodpack Global unifies the industry across regulations, sustainability standards, tariffs, and compliance requirements. With a Board of Directors that includes both US and international representation, the association can identify solutions that highlight the benefits of wooden transport packaging and reinforce it as the solution of choice worldwide. Ultimately, Woodpack Global strengthens the organization to deliver more value while staying true to the industry, the members, and the mission that have always defined it. Looking Ahead NWPCA becomes Woodpack Global on Wednesday evening, March 25, 2026, during the Annual Leadership Conference in Fort Lauderdale, where members will be the first to experience the new logo and brand. Additional details and milestones will be shared in the months ahead as the identity comes fully to life. "At its core, this evolu on is about building a stronger organiza on that delivers greater value to members in the US and around the world..." REBRAND CONT.
