Mindy brings more than 20 years of experience supporting office operations for national nonprofit organizations, with a strong background in day-to-day operations, leadership support, and cross-team coordination. Outside the office, she's an accomplished endurance athlete, having completed multiple marathons, ultra- marathons, and Ironman competitions. We're excited to have her on board. Ongoing Fire Code Safety Education And Outreach A s part of its ongoing commitment to fire code safety, the Association's expert, Bill Koffel, spoke at the California Fire Prevention Institute Annual Conference on Tuesday, March 3. His session, "Protecting Wood Pallets," was designed specifically for fire officials, helping them better understand the code, facilitate more productive conversations with pallet facilities, and support the industry's commitment to enhancing fire safety at these sites. He guided attendees through key fire codes for the outdoor storage of pallets, sharing critical insights to help keep communities and businesses safe. Bill also contributed to the NWPCA Fire Code Compliance Manual for the Outdoor Storage of Wood Pallets (available in English and Spanish), a valuable resource for both fire officials and industry members. e manual is available on the Advocacy tab at woodpackglobal.org. Woodpack Global: Our Name Has Changed I n January, we announced that the National Wooden Pallet & Container Association is changing its name to Woodpack Global. at change, along with our new logo and brand identity, will be unveiled during the Annual Leadership Conference, March 25–27 in Fort Lauderdale.
