1 4 Pallet C e nt ral • No vem be r-D e cem be r 2 0 26 INSIDEWOODPACK ANNOUNCEMENTS & UPCOMING EVENTS W oodpack Global, through its Mexico and Latin America Chapter, hosted the fifth LATAM Wood Packaging Industry Conference and Expo on September 2–3, 2026, at the Hotel Presidente InterContinental Polanco in Mexico City. Over 250 participants from 16 countries attended, including manufacturers, suppliers, industry leaders, and strategic partners from across the region, all working toward a shared agenda of competitiveness and sustainable growth for Latin America's wood packaging sector. e event opened with a cultural tour, giving attendees a chance to experience Mexico City and connect with colleagues before the program began. Keynote speaker Brenda Estefan set the tone for sessions and several speakers covering circularity, forest legality, trade policy, and regulatory priorities such as ISPM-15 harmonization. Attendees also saw a demonstration of the Crate Design System™ (CDS) and celebrated the official launch of the Woodpack Global brand in the region. Between sessions, the attendees visited 25 exhibiting companies on the expo floor, gathered for the group photo, and marked the occasion at the opening ribbon-cutting and cocktail reception. LATAM Conference Recap: Thank You, Mexico City Fall is typically one of the busiest periods for Woodpack Global, and that was the case this year as well. Whether it was our fih LATAM conference in Mexico City or the Fall Plant Tours in Chicago, staff and members have spent the last few months meeting, touring, and working on the issues that are affecting the industry.
