You can stay up-to-date with NWPCA's government affairs team in a few ways as they advocate on your behalf. Subscribe to hear what's coming from Capitol Hill, the White House and beyond. Advocacy Resources for Members of NWPCA: • Weekly Government Affairs Report. Each Friday, an electronic update is sent to government affairs committee members. The update includes the latest political news specific to the wooden pallet and container industry. • The Advocate. This is a monthly e-newsletter compilation of legislative and regulatory news, and information important to the industry. • Monthly Conference Call. Each call features an expert guest speaker. Past topics include ACA/Healthcare and NAFTA. The calls occur the first Monday of each month at Noon EST. NWPCA Staff Updates W e wish Curtis Wilkes best wishes as he begins a new journey in his life after 9 years as PDS software engineer at NWPCA. Speaking to the high quality of staff at NWPCA, Curtis was recruited by GOOGLE to work in their Pittsburgh, PA office as a software engineer. We will certainly miss Curtis and his family, and we're very happy that he has taken advantage of such a great opportunity. We thank him for his years of service to the wooden pallet and container industry, and we wish him the very best in his new position. At the same time, we are pleased to announce the hiring of a new Senior Software Engineer to replace the vacancy created with Curtis' upcoming departure. Kevin Richey has nearly 20 years of experience as a software engineer with skills ranging from hands-on programming in the software languages and frameworks we use, to serving as a technical product manager and supervising a team of software engineers. Kevin joined the NWPCA team on April 5th. NWPCA also welcomes Anne Lewis as Communications Manager. In this role, Anne will assist in the implementation of NWPCA's communications strategic plan. We're excited to have her talent and enthusiasm on board to support our communication efforts to raise our profile and grow the association's voice. PC
