Lauderdale, Florida • 2018 Fall Plant Tour & Interpal: September 18-20 in Minneapolis, Minnesota • 2019 Annual Leadership Conference: March 13-15 in San Diego, California • 2020 Annual Leadership Conference: March 4-6 in Naples, Florida GETTING INVOLVED There are several ways of getting involved in the association, and committee participation is just one of them. This past year has seen the greatest amount of member engagement in NWPCA committees. There are conference calls monthly from the Government Affairs Committee, quarterly from Industry Marketing, Recyclers Council, and Science and Technology, and others as warranted. Agenda items are discussed and developed by members who invest their time and expertise, and help us identify solutions and approaches to challenges impacting our industry. Nature's Packaging ® is an industry initiative supported by three major North American pallet and container organizations: Canadian Wood Pallet and Container Association (CWPCA), Western Pallet Association (WPA) and NWPCA through The Pallet Foundation. The initiative kicked-off in March 2016, and today, it continues to educate and inform customers, packaging specialists and the general public on wood packaging's environmental benefits as an economical, recyclable and sustainable product. The volunteer committee members have developed fact-based customer handouts on the opportunities associated with wood packaging. These materials are available for distribution and promotion, and can be found online at NaturesPackaging.org. Additionally, Nature's Packaging ® received the registered trademark this past year. If you promote the environmental benefits of wood packaging on your business material using the Nature's Packaging logo, we encourage you to update the logo to include the registered trademark.
