T
he wood packaging industry works hard to provide
a safe working environment for their employees.
A
lot of the great work and stories are seldom
heard. By partnering in support of Safe + Sound Week,
NWPCA helps raise awareness of the value of workplace
safety and health programs in your facility, year-round.
Safe + Sound Every Day
Safe + Sound Week is August 13-19. Access free resources
at palletcentral.com/oshasafety for free live webinars, educational
content, and local events that can help support the adoption of
safety and health programs, anytime during the year, including
Safe + Sound Week.
Three easy steps to participate:
1) Select the activities you would like to do at your
workplace: A series of activity briefs covering the three core
elements of a successful safety and health program are available
at palletcentral.com/oshasafety to help you brainstorm. Activity
ideas range from short term to longer term and vary in the time,
resources, and scope needed to complete them effectively.
2) Plan and promote your events: Templates for
invitations, newsletter articles, customizable posters and
banners,
and graphics are just a few of the available
resources. Once you decide to participate, make sure you
let your workers, suppliers, and customers know what you
are planning. You can also register your company to the
map on the www.OSHA.gov/safeandsoundweek.
3) Recognize your participation: After you've completed
your events, you can download a certificate and
web badge to recognize your company and your workers.
Share Your Story, #SafeandSound2018
