Recycling and Material Handling" and "New Pallet Manufacturing and Material
Handling" were well attended and provided insights and direct experiences from industry
leaders that were shared amongst all. The HT/ISPM roundtable was very popular, with
additional seating brought in to accommodate the unexpectedly large group that wanted
to talk HT and ISPM 15. Friday's general session focused on education with speakers
informing members about the future of U.S. wood supplies, and modern distribution
centers and wood pallets.
NWPCA's committees also met earlier in the week to work on pressing industry issues
and concerns, and to develop strategies for the upcoming year: Recyclers Council,
Government Affairs Committee, Science and Technology Advisory Council, Standards
Committee, Membership Advisory Council and Industry Marketing Committee, were just
a few of the meetings held Wednesday morning. Committee participation is open to all

The Pallet Foundation surpassed last year's record-shattering support by raising
$148,000 during the annual auction. Combined with contributions from the Western
Pallet Association at their auction in January, and the Pallet Foundation Golf Tournament
on Wednesday, more than $210,000 has already been raised in 2016 to support research,
