The area the dust collection system services shall be distinctly outlined on the site plan. Fire department access routes. Fire department access routes shall be designed in accordance with NFPA 1 or the IFC, as applicable, and any local amendments to the code. The routes should be clearly marked and outlined on the site plans. NOTE: This is a topic that is often the subject of local amendments since it is specific to fire department response apparatus dimensions and capabilities. Designated smoking areas. Smoking areas used by employees, staff, visitors, and any security personnel shall be clearly marked and outlined on the site plan. Locations of fire alarm control panels. The fire alarm control panel is to be placed in a highly accessible spot and made known to the fire department. The location of the fire alarm control panel shall be clearly marked and easily identifiable on the site plan. A.2.3 Fire Prevention Plan A.2.3.2 Hot Work Permit Process Applications for permits shall be made on forms provided by the local jurisdiction and shall include the applicant's answers in full to inquiries set forth on such forms. A copy of the permit shall be posted or otherwise readily accessible at each place of operation and shall be subject to inspection as specified by the AHJ [IFC 105.3.5, NFPA 1 §1.12.6.9].
