Growing in Influence e public affairs work of the Association is an area growing in influence, including the PalletPAC. e team has hosted several members of Congress in 2022 and several tours are scheduled for 2023. ese are critical to lawmakers to understand members' issues when making decisions, and the role in the sustainable supply chain that wooden pallets bring to the table. Getting Down to Business Board Chair 2022-2023 Carolyn Beach of Westside Pallet opened the event, citing many NWPCA accomplishments as highlights of the year, including the vibrant Mexican Chapter, the Pallet Foundation success and other initiatives. Hot topics include ISPM 15, sustainability, and training, as well as the resources NWPCA makes available to members, such as the recent Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) explainer video (found at www.palletcentral.com/epd). She introduced Nick Wenner, the next generation CEO of family-owned Pallet Service Corp, as the incoming Chair. Wenner spoke about the bright spots that are moving NWPCA and the pallet industry forward, faster, to keep ahead of change. "I've been coming to these events for as long as I can remember.
