ALC Review 14 PalletCentral • March-April 2023 palletcentral.com O n the surface, pallet companies are operating full speed ahead to keep up with demand amidst increasing customer needs in the current economic and supply chain climate. It became crystal clear at the recent NWPCA Annual Leadership Conference (ALC), held in Fort Worth, Texas in early March, that these shifting conditions are not curtailing innovation and growth of the pallet industry. With a record number of over 720 attendees, the event was buzzing from the educational sessions to the hallways to five packed evening social events that had people mingling – including the opening reception, plus gatherings for the Hispanic Council, Future Leaders, PalletPAC, and spouses. Also increasing were the number of Mexican wooden pallet companies, 15 total with 31 individuals, from the newly formed NWPCA Mexican Capítulo. e Expo Hall continues to be a gathering place, boasting record numbers with 49 exhibitors and six new companies on the show floor. e Annual Pallet Foundation Auction was held once again amongst the Expo action, a highlight social event, and raised $351,975 for future projects and research. e ALC meeting did not disappoint on empowerment and information. It is a new world; it is time to build an industry for the future.
