R eturning from our recent Annual Leadership Conference (ALC), I couldn't help but see the connection between the meeting's theme, "Supercharge Results," and NWPCA's focus and initiatives in 2023. During the ALC, we discussed new organizational management approaches called Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). Our keynote speaker walked us through the EOS practical tools companies use to clarify, simplify, and achieve their vision. We had a panel of members discussing the advantages and challenges of implementing EOS, and we also had a member panel discussing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). An ERP software system helps companies automate and manage core business processes for optimal performance. ose sessions alone provided several takeaways for companies to implement this year. For NWPCA, our focus for 2023 is to supercharge what your company and your team gain from us by vastly expanding our events, advocacy footprint, and PDS software to ensure you have access to the most cutting-edge technology. We strategically position our events to bring the wood packaging community together while advancing NWPCA's role as the global thought and information leader on wood packaging in unit-load solutions. For 2023, we are excited to host events in Germany, Mexico, Canada, and Washington, D.C., where you can make and expand business relationships, open new opportunities locally, and learn and share ideas with your colleagues worldwide. Our advocacy program expands this year with our Washington Fly-In in June. Join your colleagues and participate in important sessions with members of Congress to share the effects of government initiatives on your business. e Pallet Design System™ continues to capture global market share for pallet and unit load design. Following significant expansions on the interaction between the pallet and a unit load, the NWPCA Board of Directors has committed to a project to ensure PDS is deliverable in a scalable, cloud-based system. ese investments build off the recent enhancement in PDS software that provides your company access to ERP software business systems.
