2.5 Security Plan
The primary purpose of the security plan is to provide occupants with a reasonably safe
environment and to protect the property from security threats. See Appendix A.2.5.1 for further
information.
When developing your security plan, some aspects to consider including, but are not limited to:
Personnel (Appendix A.2.5.2)
o What people are on staff and what are their roles concerning security?
o What security practices are employed by these individuals?
Property (Appendix A.2.5.3 through A.2.5.5)
o What measures are in place to secure the perimeter of the facility?
o How are important buildings safeguarded?
o How is the facility organized from a security standpoint?
o How is the movement of materials and people controlled and monitored at the
facility?
Security Systems (Appendix A.2.5.6)
o What, if any, security systems are in place at the facility?
